You say that video games are more like sports than they are like an art form. Like sports, video games have winning and losing conditions. Other media don’t have such conditions; you can’t win a novel, for instance. You cite the rising popularity of eSports as proof that many gamers themselves treat video games as sports, not artworks.
“Video games can be sports,” Ron says. “But they can also be art. I don’t see why something couldn’t exist in the intersection between those two worlds.”
